Whale Watching Season Begins Tomorrow!

a body of water

We are fired up here at Sail San Diego for one of our favorite times of the year… San Diego’s whale watching season, which officially begins tomorrow, December 15!!

Sail San Diego is the only San Diego charter company to offer multiple ways to see the Pacific Gray Whale migration.

For power & speed enthusiasts, those looking to dash right into the action, we offer speedboat whale watching aboard our 34-foot, 350-horsepower Luhrs speedboat. Equipped with two inboard engines, this bad boy allows us to zip 4 to 6 guests straight to into the whale migration zone for some up-close & personal viewing of the whales. Bring your camera or video camera and enjoy a couple cold ones on us while checking out these gentle giants of the sea! Sodas, waters & snacks are complimentary for the kiddos, as well.

For those looking for a more tranquil & serene whale watching experience, enjoy 3.5 hours on a luxurious 40-foot modern day sailing yacht. Sparing no expense, our Owners went all-out when assembling our fleet of high-end Bavaria & Catalina sailing yachts. (We also host, in-house, San Diego’s Bavaria yacht sales & Sail San Diego Yachts dealership.) All beer & white wine is complimentary for our drinking-age guests, as well as snacks, sodas, drinking water & parking, 7 days a week. Forgot your sunscreen, binoculars or a cap? No problem… we’ve got all that for you, on board.

No fake taxes or “surcharges”. Out-the-door upfront pricing on all of our charters!

Can’t decide between speed or tranquility? No problem! Call up some friends & family, and do both at the same time! The kiddos & young adults will have the time of their lives on our speedboat while the grown-ups chill out on a sailing yacht with some white wine & smooth jazz. (We can take private parties of up to 12 passengers per sailing yacht, and 6 on the speedboat. 12+6=18 guests. Got more? No problem – we’ve got a whole fleet!)

Our captains & guests have already been sighting Gray Whales earlier in the month, but the official whale watching season is here, starting tomorrow!
