We are grateful for the awesome whale watching season that we just finished, here at Sail San Diego. This week was the end of 2022’s whale watching season.

Our private marina is one of the closest marinas to the Pacific Ocean, which gives our guests the opportunity to sail out in the open ocean during these tours. San Diego is a main stop along the migratory pathway for whales heading down to Mexico every year. As you know, Sail San Diego has been San Diego’s top-rated boat tour Company on TripAdvisor for years and years. One of the ways we maintain this “top dog” spot is our integrity. We don’t sell whale watching tickets unless we’re sure the guest is going to see a whale.
It’s always a great day when you get the chance to spot whales in the wild along the San Diego coastline. People fly in from all over to see the whales that are here in our own backyard.
On our san diego whale watching sailing tours, we often see not only whales, but also dolphins & other marine wildlife out in the ocean.

My wife and I loved the whale watching sail!!

We booked this sailing about a week before arriving in San Diego for the first time. We picked it because we didn’t want to be on a crowded whale watching boat, and we wanted to sail. When we arrived we were greeted by Capt Greg. The boat was amazing, and very clean. Capt Greg was awesome! We saw some beautiful grey whales. We would highly recommend anyone wanting to whale watch, or just sail to use SailSandiego!

Sail San Diego never fails to perform. Captain Greg went above & beyond, which resulted is seeing beautiful whales during our sailing outing.
