Sailing Around COVID-19
A Message to our Past and Future Guests:
In the last 8 weeks, we’ve had literally hundreds of emails, phone calls, and messages from our friends, family and guests, all asking how our business is doing and when we will open again. We thank you for your concern, support and love.
Since 1988, we at Sail San Diego have always prioritized the comfort and safety of our guests above all else. It is just one of many reasons our guests sail with us time and time again. However, right now with uncertainty of the current times we want to do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Unfortunately, we are still closed until further notice but we wanted to reach out to everybody and tell you what we are doing and give some updates on Sail San Diego. Until then, our team is here to help you with with rescheduling reservations as well as making future reservations.
First of all, we would like to thank all of our incredible guests (Past & Future).
The timing of our closure was nothing but devastating. We have many substantial overhead costs between the office, marina, vessel upkeep, insurance, the list goes on) and the need to reimburse 100% of our guests was and is truly crushing and difficult. But, we are truly blessed. We have incredible guests (Past and Future) who have gone out their way to accommodate us in a very difficult time. Many of our guests have re-booked or used their cancelled reservations for future store credit when we open again. For those that are still waiting on refunds to transfer, we thank you for your understanding and please stay patient with us.
Times are uncertain right now and we still don’t know when we will be open again. For these reasons, we are currently not accepting any reservations for May. Hopefully we will hear some better news and this changes.
In the meantime, we are currently keeping and upgrading our fleet of beautiful 40′ Sailboats in immaculate shape for your return. Though we always clean our fleet with the highest level of attention, we will also be following/ implementing CDC guidelines for properly cleaning areas and surfaces to a new standard, during our charters, and also between charters.
If you’re reading this, THANK YOU! To our Captains and Crew, THANK YOU!
