Don’t Wait For A Special Occasion – a note from a guest

This excursion was everything we had hoped it would be and more. I sure hope to do it again in the future.

It was well worth the cost. Arrival and loading was easy. You are greeted at the gate and the friendly host verifies the guests, then walks you to the boats. You’re given a quick boat tour and safety brief, and then you’re off. We motored out of the marina and the sails were raised. Captain Mike was informative and amiable. He pointed out the highlights of the Bay landmarks and scenery along the way. He shared details about the Bavaria 42 and sailing in general. The boat was amazing. There was plenty of room for our party of 3 and two other couples. We all enjoyed meeting and talking. The cabin below had a large open space, a refrigerator stocked with water, wine and beer, and a bathroom. They offered motion meds, but I would classify this ride as mild, with a brief medium ride off the Point as you reach ocean waves and wind. There’s nothing else quite like sailing through the bay and off Point Loma. You’ll see the city and bay from an entirely different perspective.
