Hi and welcome to my spring sailing blog! I am so excited about our spring and summer sailing season for many reasons. First and most exciting is that we have added another beautiful 40’ Catalina to our line-up!!!
We are so excited because this particular boat is the one we fell in love with and I actually used to wash it for free because I loved it so much! It is the reason we bought the first 40’ Catalina because we thought it was the perfect boat for our guests to be the most comfortable on. The boat will sit 8-10 just in the cockpit alone and then we always put the most comfy, fun chairs on the bow for everyone to enjoy! The 40’ Catalina also has 2 beautiful staterooms and two bathrooms or “heads” for our guests to enjoy!
Our first 40’ Catalina we named “CrewZen” and on a fun road trip we started playing with name ideas and came up with “BreeZen” for this boats name. It is fun to play with the Zen word and my partner and I have had fun coming up with ideas- It’s always fun to hear how boat owners have come up with the names for their boats- Usually it is a play on words that means something to that boat owner. So, now we have two 40’ Catalina’s sitting side by side at the marina so that will help us with capacity and last minute reservations. It will be fun to have these boats do match-racing for team-building or corporate events. We also have a few other boats that we can use- One 46’ Beneteau and a 36’ Beneteau. Both of these boats are gorgeous and we can use those as back up!
Whale watching season is now over and we will start concentrating on our adventure day sailing and the beautiful sunset sails. We
also do private lessons and a lot of fun corporate events in the
spring and summer. The spring and summer days here in
Whale watching season was incredible and lasted longer than normal. We actually extended this year until the 25th of April and say whales up to the 21st.
It is always sad when the season comes to an end but we know that we will see these magnificent creatures again next December. We started seeing whales in the 3rd week in December and consistently saw whales until April. We hosted so many incredible guests and it is always a good feeling when you really can take guests out on one of our sailboats and see the whales! Young and old alike enjoyed the trip this year and we had so many guests send us photos of their experience.
I
will be posting them soon on the website.
We also had a visitor this year! In March we had a Grey Whale,
who was fairly young, come into
I am going to write on a regular basis this year- We are planning such a great season and I love this format to talk about what’s new in a low-key way, in my own words that are a bit more casual and relaxed!! Take Care and talk with you soon!
